ABOUT US  Faithful to the family tradition, together with my sons, I have been making Beczka Grotowska products the same way as my father and grandfather taught me. Unhurriedly, with proper care, without any compromise.

The products, which are a feast for the palate, are made from the highest quality raw materials and based on natural spices.

But they are something more for me…
…they are a part of my family history and tradition – and this makes me very proud.

OUR HISTORY

1990

1990 – FOUNDATION OF ZPM GROT

 

Based on the knowledge passed on to him by his father and grandfather and thanks to many years of experience, Józef Grot opened the GROT meat processing plant in Starowa Góra near Lodz on 13 December 1990. The backbone of the company are the inhabitants of Starowa Góra who lost their jobs as a result of the political transformation. In the beginning the company employed …5 people.

19991999 – EXPANSION OF MANUFACTURING SITES

 

We have the wind at our back! The quality of GROT products ,warmly received by our customers, and the growing demand for our products brought about a decision to expand the plant. In 1999, a modern facility with an average production capacity of up to 20 tonnes per day was opened, i.e. the GROT Meat Processing Plant. In total, 93 people found employment in the new establishment. Six own brand-name stores, employing about 30 people in total, were the most important distribution channel.

20042004 – PLANT MODERNISATION

 

The steady, or to be more precise constant increase in the popularity of GROT products, the consistent development of the network of brand-name stores in Łódź and expansion into the Warsaw market resulted in a decision regarding the expansion of the facility with a simultaneous and comprehensive adjustment of the technical, sanitary and technological processes to the veterinary requirements of the European Union. The modernisation was completed in July 2004; as a consequence, the capacity for meat manufacturing and processing increased to 50 tonnes a day. The plant employs 228 people. The network of brand-name stores reached 28 outlets, employing 86 people.

2012

2012 – CONVENIENCE FOOD MANUFACTURING PLANT

 

During the following years we reinforced our position as leader in the meat industry in Łódź. However, the continuous changes in the needs and expectations of our consumers represented a new challenge for us. Naturally, we managed to deal with it successfully and opened the Convenience Food Manufacturing Plant in 2012. As a result, the number of employees working at both plants went up to 250. More than 180 people work in 50 brand-name and franchise stores. We offer our customers new food products such as croquettes, dumplings, pancakes as well as salads. We draw our recipes from traditional Polish cuisine, modified by our own tried and tested recipes.

20152015 – NEW CHALLENGES

 

Modernisation of the pork meat cutting line, installation of a photovoltaic system for the  production of green energy (108 kW), development of the network of brand-name and franchise stores are only some of the challenges that lie ahead of us in 2016. We will face them with genuine pleasure. Because working together we can accomplish more.
